About me.

After working several years in advertising, and discovering lots of talented illustrators, I wanted to try it for myself.

When I started illustrating, I became excited about taking these drawings to other media. I got to know the needle felting technique, and this is when my craft journey began.

After felting a little fox doll with my own hands, I realized that I was now able to create lots of things that I already had in my mind. And little by little, I did.

What made me more excited about all this, was searching for new materials for each project, and getting inspired by fabrics and other things I came across. Experimentation became an important and enjoyable part of the process.

I realized that I’m really passionate about little details, which ended up being a distinction of my pieces. That’s where I love to spend extra time and let each piece really develop its own personality.

This hobby became my passion, and working on my handmade products became more important to me than my much beloved advertising job.

Friends started asking for more products, people I didn’t know started asking for them, and so on.

Now a big part of my life is creating these products, all of which are carefully designed and created in small amounts, mostly by order.

Ramona Chan is my brand which got its name by a mix of my Mexican roots, and my love and admiration for Japanese art and culture.
